Who we are

whydoesmypod.com is an independent educational resource explaining why vape pods taste burnt. We sell nothing and promote no brand. This policy explains what happens to the only personal information the site ever asks for: your email address.

What we collect

Your email address — and only if you type it into the signup form yourself. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, payment details, or any other personal information.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in standard server logs for security and reliability. We also record the date you signed up, so we know when your request was made.

Why we collect it

We use your email address for one purpose: to send you the full explainer — the science, the sources, and the complete breakdown — plus the occasional related update on this topic. That's it. No unrelated marketing, no daily newsletter.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your email address with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing. The only parties that ever touch it are the service providers that store our signup list and deliver our email on our behalf, and they are only permitted to use it to provide that service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Once you do, we remove it from our active list promptly.

How to unsubscribe

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click and you're off the list, no questions asked. You can also email us and we'll remove you (and delete your address entirely, if you'd like) by hand.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll take care of it — we're not going to make you fill out a form.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Your browser's local storage is used for one thing only: remembering that you confirmed you're 21 or older, so the age gate doesn't reappear on every visit. That value stays on your device.

Children

This site discusses nicotine products and is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has submitted an email address, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your email will be described in an email to subscribers.
